This week I’m drinking…

At a really cute new cocktail bar near my work. It’s called Tonight Josephine and they have some of the best wallpaper I’ve seen in my life. If you find yourself nearby you should definitely head in for their Happy Hour because it means cocktails end up being around a fiver each. For┬ácentral London, you can’t do much better than that.

This week I’m addicted to…

Strawberry and almond milk smoothies. Having discovered a blender in my flat which crushes up fruit like a beast, I’ve been knocking fresh fruit smoothies back like crazy. I will need to mix it up soon and work out how to add in some meaner sounding ingredients (kale? spinach?) and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna have to turn to Pinterest for that!

This week I’m feeling…

A little lost. I’m really not feeling living in London at the moment and it’s something that weighs on my mind all the time. I don’t know if it’s because I’m really not enjoying my job at the moment and searching for a new one hasn’t been exactly fruitful, so there doesn’t feel like a huge amount of opportunity is coming my way, or whether it’s because I find it hard to make friends and making friends in London seems like an impossible task. I just don’t see a future for me here and it’s something I’ve really been thinking about a lot.

This week I’m raging….

Because my printer at work has been broken for over a week and I can’t do any work because of that. I never realised quite how dependent I was on a printer. You know you work in an old-fashioned place when the idea of going paperless is just beyond everyone’s capabilities. It doesn’t help that my job can be horrifically boring sometimes, so a computer malfunction that makes it even more boring is not the one. The worst thing is that because of the hack-attack, it’s unlikely to be fixed for at least another week. Joy.

This week I’m looking forward to…

My little brother and his fiance coming to London tomorrow. He’s got about twenty museums dotted around London that he wants to visit. I have tried to tell him that he probably won’t be able to fit them all in, but there isn’t much dampening of his enthusiasm.

This week I’ve spent far too long playing…

The Sims. I seriously need to get out a little more.

This week I’m laughing…

At my Dad, who, after having his shed broken into, was more pissed off that the robbers hadn’t stolen the lawn mower that he detests than he was about the actual burglary.

What have you been up to this week?
